Overview and Mission of the Wellington Student Care Program
The Wellington Student Care Program is a non-profit organization that provides before and after school care for Wellington students in Kindergarten through Grade 3. The program is licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) and follows all state regulations. The program leases space in the Wellington building from the Town of Belmont.

The program’s mission is to create a community of mutual respect and to provide a high-quality and enriching experience that is developmentally appropriate for the children we care for. By accepting each child as a unique individual, we can help each child in turn to accept and get along with others. Our goal is for children in our program to become comfortable socially as they develop competence and independence through discovery of their own capabilities.

Our staff of caring and experienced professionals are positive role models for our children in responding to life’s daily realities, while emphasizing the norms of appropriate interpersonal behavior. The program seeks to instill a sense of belonging, helpfulness, discovery, proficiency, and leadership.
